PRIX Girl (1977 US wide centred 7 single on the seminal New York DIY label Ork Records also featuring Everytime I Close My Eyes & Zero. This is one of the great could-have-been records to follow in the wake of Big Star [sadly Prix never did gain traction or start a real career]. The songwriting & delivery comes courtesy of Tommy Hoehn who appeared on Third/Sister Lovers. The first two tracks really do sound like Big Star at their peak & Zero is one of the most brilliantly dam aged Chilton-esque art-pop/punk tunes you will find.
